Frequently asked questions.

Do you accept insurance?

No. We do not work directly with any insurance companies. We will provide itemized receipts for patients who first check with their insurance about reimbursement.

How many visits are needed?

There is really no way to know how many visits will be needed as each individual responds differently to the therapy. A certain level of progress could take a person just one visit while it could take 10 visits for someone else. We believe every visit helps and even one or two visits are better than none. We typically advise families to plan on starting with three or four visits within a month or a few weeks, then reevaluate what changes we can see, and make a plan from there on continuing care.

What is the difference between fascial bodywork and other similar therapies?

Fascial bodywork in our office is continually evolving as we learn and grow as practitioners. The blend of fascial release and craniosacral therapy is a driving factor in our work. We pride ourselves on being life long learners in this field. Years of experience in identifying fascial strain gives us unique understanding of the body. We have adapted our knowledge from courses taken and are constantly integrating new information to provide the best combination of craniosacral therapy and myofascial release possible.

What do I wear to my visit?

For children and adults recommend wearing loose fitting or clothes you can comfortably move in. We don’t advise wearing tight/restrictive jeans, dresses or skirts as it can limit fascial release for the legs and hips.

Do you assess tongue ties?

We regularly work with patients of all ages who are showing signs of oral dysfunction. We will take time during your appointment to evaluate fascial strain we see in the mouth and face. In our years as practitioners we collaborate and refer to local airway knowledgable dentists, myofunctional therapists, and IBCLCs (lactation professionals) when indicated to help you build a team approach to dealing with tongue ties and oral dysfunction.

Where can I purchase a munchee?

We order munchee devices monthly. You can stay up to date on when orders are happening by signing up for email notifications! We will let you know when orders are happening and ordering deadlines via your email inbox.

What is your cancellation policy?

We do not over book our schedule to cover for patients cancelling at the last minute or not showing up. We reserve your appointment time for you specifically. If you cancel on short notice, don’t show up, or show up very late – that is time lost where we could have served another patient. We understand unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life, but our desire is to respect all patients and maintain a viable practice. Click below to read our full cancellation policy including LATE ARRIVALS and NO-SHOWS.

I’m not local to Kansas City, how can I find practitioner near me?

Fascial bodywork practitioners are sometimes hard to find, especially if you live in a rural area. Driving several hours for therapy is not uncommon. We do offer “intensives” for those who are willing to travel to our office in Kansas City. Contact us if you would like to schedule this option for yourself or your family.

We are working together with FascialCARE to plan and put together a fascial provider network to help you locate professionals practicing in your area. Check back soon for updates.
